Island Dictionary
There are many unique things about the Elf Island community. This page serves as a guide to some words, phrases, and names you may hear around the Island, as well as a guide to all of the areas on the Island and some interesting things to know!
PEOPLE
Elves – every body is an elf!
Hosts – Moderators who are hosting activities
Mods / Moderators / Monitors – Staff members who monitor the site and make sure everything is flowing smoothly. They can ban and kick players from the site. They can not add friends to their buddy list. The rules of the Elf Island dictionary do not apply to them. Moderators can send announcements, and award prizes and grant items and coins!

Staff – People who work for Elf Island. Only those employed by Elf Island can be staff (isn’t that what staff means?) According to Titan (Moderator) they are not looking for any workers. 
Betas / Testers – In many online games, beta players or testers are those who played at the very beginning of a game or site, when it was being tested for bugs or any other glitches. These players, for some reason, usually end up quite popular because of their being with the site so long.

You also know when you submit a question or problem a mod tracks you down and comes to meet you? MOD-Chirp did that to me.
